Bursaries & Grants will be awarded to a performer selected by the adjudicator.
Bursary for Classical Dance
A Grant of £500 will be awarded at the discretion of the Adjudicator to the performer who in his or her opinion shows the most promise in the classical sections.
THE WINNER will hold for one year the BURSARY TROPHY and also a Special Certificate.
The Judith Brown award kindly donated on behalf of Mrs M Brown, will also be awarded to the Bursary winner.
Bursary for Stage Branch
A Grant of £500 will be awarded at the discretion of the Adjudicator to the performer who, in his or her opinion, shows the most promise in the stage branch sections.
The winner will hold for one year the BURSARY TROPHY and also a Special Certificate.
The SUE CLAPHAM AWARD, kindly donated on behalf of the family of Sue Clapham, will also be awarded to the Bursary winner.
Award of Summer School Grant
To be awarded to a performer chosen by the adjudicator, who in his/her opinion, will benefit form the experience of attending an appropriate Summer School of the performer’s choice (to the value of £500)
Award of Musical Theatre & Drama Summer School at Bishop Grosseteste College, Lincoln (Aug 2018 Dates tbc)
To be awarded to a junior performer chosen by the adjudicator, who in his/her opinion, will benefit for the experience of attending this Summer School.
- Parents will have the choice of teacher to whom the grant will be paid.
- The teacher must apply for the grant through letter to the Treasurer.
- The grant to be used within one year of award.
- Performers must be 9 years and under 17 years of age to qualify for the Bursary awards.
- ALL MONIES TO BE USED FOR LESSONS IN DANCING.
PLEASE NOTE: A performer winning a Bursary Award (Classical or Stage) or the Summer School Grant for two consecutive years will not be eligible for any of the above awards the following year. After that they may again be considered for selection.
