FESTIVAL BURSARIES
AWARDED BY THE COURTESY OF THE SCUNTHORPE MUSICAL FESTIVAL ASSOCIATION
Bursary for Classical Dance
A Grant of £500 will be awarded at the discretion of the Adjudicator to the performer who in or her opinion shows the most promise in the classical sections.
The WINNER will hold for one year the BURSARY TROPHY and also a special Certificate.
The JUDITH BROWN AWARD, kindly donated on behalf of Mrs M Brown will also be awarded to the Bursary Winner.
Bursary for Stage Dance
A Grant of £500 will be awarded at the discretion of the Adjudicator to the performer who in or her opinion shows the most promise in the stage branch sections.
The WINNER will hold for one year the BURSARY TROPHY and also a special Certificate.
The SUE CLAPHAM AWARD, kindly donated on behalf of the family of Sue Clapham will also be awarded to the Bursary Winner.
Award of Summer School Grant
To be awarded to a performer chosen by the adjudicator, who in his/her opinion, will benefit from the experience of attending an appropriate Summer School of the performers’ choice (to the value of £500).
RULES:
1. Parents will have the choice of teachers to whom the bursary grant will be paid.
2. The teacher must apply for the grant through the letter to the Treasurer.
3. The grant is to be used within one year of the award.
4. Performers must be 9 to 18 years of age to qualify for the Bursary awards.
5. ALL MONIES ARE TO BE USED FOR LESSONS IN DANCE OR PERFORMING ARTS.
PLEASE NOTE: A performer winning a Bursary Award (Classical or Stage) or the Summer School Grant for two consecutive years will not be eligible for any of the above awards the following year. After that they may once again be considered for selection.
